SENIOR CI SUPPORT SPECIALIST (DEPLOYED)
Location: Afghanistan
Travel: 100% (Afghanistan)
DUTY POSITION: Senior CI Specialist. SSU is seeking experienced SR CI Specialists to join our team of professionals supporting the DoD in forward deployed locations. Each Specialist can expect to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Specialist will deploy to Afghanistan to provide SR-level CI support to USFOR-A. The optimal candidate is flexible, able to work successfully as a member of a team, and possesses CI/HUMINT experience. Prior to hiring, each candidate must pass a screening and assessment process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all the duties of the CI Support Specialist as necessary and facilitates the scheduling and assignment of CI and CST tasks, as appropriate coordinating with the Regional Command CJ2X, Battlespace owner S2X or the Military Intelligence (MI) commander and supported command.
- Supports the operational management of CI Teams and CSTs, provides CI guidance consistent with CI and supported command guidance, monitors the production of reports, and conducts Quality Control (QC) of completed reports/products and PCASS examinations.
- The Sr. CI shall ensure the smooth flow of information, between Brigade and higher echelons, as required.
- The Sr. CI shall develop recording mechanisms for Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) and lessons learned in the conduct of operations.
- The Sr. CI will support the actions of CI Teams and CST teams as appropriate, scheduling and other administrative actions of CI Support Specialists, as required.
- The Sr. CI will coordinate with the senior intelligence official on station to ensure all CI activities are supportive of the Regional Command CJ2X, Battlespace owner S2X or the Military Intelligence (MI) commander and supported command including: proper CI support including all local employees are screened and evaluated by CI screeners and/or CSTs and CI Teams and CSTs review summaries on the daily Intelligence products for situational awareness; conduct research on all areas of operation and possess a solid awareness level of an operational area prior to mission execution.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Must be deployable to the required theater of operations.
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance. TS/SCI Clearance preferred.
- Must have 8+ years of experience as CI Support Specialist.
- Must have former military occupational specialty (MOS) 35L, 351L, 97B or civilian 1811 or 0132 badged and credentialed CI Agent or DoD joint service equivalents.
- Prior deployment experience providing CI/HUMINT support to combat operations highly preferred.
- Must be experienced with Army/Joint CI procedures, doctrine, and practices and data processing systems such as CIDNE, DSOMS, CHIMS, etc.
- Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university highly preferred. Previous CI/HUMINT experience may substitute for education.
- Must have knowledge of Afghan customs and culture.
